My Cooking Intro
Didn't feel it would be kind to just jump into things.
I like cooking. As an amateur chef, I get excited about products and finding the RIGHT product. The world of slow cooking is loaded with slow cookers from lots of brands (Hamilton Beach, Rival, Kitchen Aid, etc). It can be confusing to find the right crock.
One source I wanted to share right off is SlowCookerCooking: Crock Pot Reviews
Take a look when you can. I use it.
Below you'll find crock pot review briefs and some various good info to help improve your life.
Enjoy.

Rival Oval Crock Pot
The Rival SCVP600 is a nice oval slow cooker that's perfect for large cuts of meats. If you're in the market for a 6-quart crock pot, you might want to give this one a look.

The site above has a lot more information (and review). But here's this model at a glance:
- Stoneware is removable for quick cleaning. It's also dishwasher safe, which is a plus.
- Important to me, this crock has a "keep warm" mode!
- It's 6 quarts, which is great for a family or entertaining.
- It's oval! Great for big meat cuts.
Overall, this is a good slow cooker that isn't expensive.
